Description
Woman’s dress, Third mourning or Ordinary mourning dress, consisting of bodice and matching skirt in black silk damask woven with tulips and leaves trimmed with black glass or French jet beads and lace. Bodice with narrow standing collar edged with blonde lace, fastening centre front with sixteen black silk buttons. Three-quarter- length sleeves, cut-work lace caps, cuffs trimmed with black glass beads and lace. Lined in black cotton. Skirt, full-length, draped panels over each hip pleated into a bustle with slight train at back, trimmed with black glass beads and lace. Internal ties to create bustle.
